We’ve recently received a shipment from Europe that has allowed me to combine two of my passions – French country style and vintage.
It includes a fabulous antique champagne crate which would have been used to collect the grapes by winemakers throughout the 19th century. I can just picture it full of logs sitting alongside a fireplace. But of course that’s just the first use that comes to mind. There’s a large, antique wine barrel too that would look absolutely gorgeous with a citrus tree planted in it sitting on someone’s deck. Sometimes it takes just one fantastic piece to set the style of a whole room or an outdoor area.
